Pre-orders for this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special – The Return of Doctor Mysterio have now been made available in the US via Amazon.com.
The 60 minute special starring Peter Capaldi and Matt Lucas will be released on region 1 DVD, Blu-ray and Amazon video on February 21st, 2017.
With brain-swapping aliens poised to attack, the Doctor and Nardole link up with an investigative reporter and a mysterious figure known only as The Ghost. Can the Doctor save Manhattan? And what will be revealed when we see behind the mask?
Guest stars for this years special are Justin Chatwin as superhero Grant, Charity Wakefield plays newspaper reporter Lucy, Tomiwa Edun is Mr Brock, Aleksandar Jovanovic plays Dr Sim and Logan Huffman joins the cast.
The special is written by Steven Moffat, Executive Produced by Brian Minchin, Produced by Peter Bennett and Directed by Ed Bazalgette (Poldark). It was shot in Cardiff at BBC Wales Roath Lock.Studios.
