BBC Studios have revealed details of brand-new Doctor Who story ‘Time Lord Victorious‘, which is due for release across multiple platforms later this year!
‘Time Lord Victorious’ will see an enormous array of partners join forces to tell a brand-new Doctor Who story. These include:
- Penguin Random House
- Doctor Who Magazine
- Titan Comics
- Escape Hunt
- Big Finish Productions
- Eaglemoss Hero Collector
- Immersive Everywhere
- Maze Theory
- BBC Books
- BBC Audio
Together, they’ll tell a new and untold story. ‘Time Lord Victorious’ will be set during the Dark Times of the universe, when even the Eternals were young. It will follow several Doctors across time and space as they defend their home planet from a terrible race. The Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Doctors, plus companion Rose Tyler, as well as the Daleks and Ood will feature in this story, with more to be revealed in the coming months as products are announced.
Producer James Goss has said: “BBC Studios’ Doctor Who licensees have come together to tell an amazing epic – one that’s full of monsters, fun and heart. All strands of the story unite into a mighty patchwork that ranges from one end of the universe to the next. There’s more to be revealed, but the enthusiasm and ideas which the licensees have come up with are breath-taking. It’s going to be such fun.”
Whilst few details of how the ‘Time Lord Victorious’ story will unfold, there’s no denying this is an enormously ambitious project. Fans will no doubt be familiar with the brilliant Doctor Who content which has been produced by the partners coming together to bring us this new story. Their output ranges from audio drama, to scale figurines, to immersive VR games, and beyond! It’ll be exciting to see just what they’ve been able to create whilst working together!
‘Doctor Who: Time Lord Victorious‘ is due for release later this year, with products and experiences scheduled to launch over a twelve-week period.
