Ahead of its release in January 2020, Titan Comics have unveiled a preview of the second season of their ongoing Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor series!
Following a spectacular first year, Titan Comics confirmed back in October that their Thirteenth Doctor would be returning for a second outing. Since its debut in September 2018, this series has firmly established itself as a perfect companion to the current Doctor’s on-screen adventures. Writer Jody Houser, along with regular artists Rachael Stott, Roberta Ingranata, and Enrica Eren Angiolini have seamlessly translated the Thirteenth Doctor, Ryan, Graham, and Yaz from the screen to the page.
Across Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor‘s first year, the ‘fam’ have continued their adventures across time and space. They’re faced off against the formidable and power-hungry Hoarder, as well as teaming up with Time Agents, plus the Corsair, a fellow Time Lord first created by none other than Neil Gaiman for his 2011 television story ‘The Doctor’s Wife’.
Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Season 2 Promises Even More Exciting Adventures!
As the series enters its second year, it’s clear Titan Comics have even more ambitious and exciting adventures in store for the Doctor and friends. As previously announced, Season 2 #1 will see the Thirteenth Doctor, Yaz, Graham, and Ryan team up with one of the Doctor’s previous incarnations, as well as a former companion.
This opening issue will re-imagine Steven Moffatt‘s iconic 2007 television story Blink, and will see the current TARDIS team join forces with the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones, as portrayed on-screen by David Tennant and Freema Agyeman respectively. Together, they’ll face off against two of the Doctor’s deadliest foes, the Weeping Angels and the Autons.

To celebrate the beginning of Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Season 2, five variant covers have also been unveiled for this issue by Titan Comics. As per usual, these variant covers features an eclectic range of artwork from Paulina Ganucheau, Will Brooks, Alice X. Zhang, Sarah Graley, plus a Batman-inspired cover from Andrew Pepoy.
Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Season 2 #1 will be available from all good comic retailers from Wednesday 8th January 2020.
