It's not just meteorites that are crashing on to the surface of the Earth. As the newly-regenerated Doctor arrives on Earth, he is joined by the Nestene. This episode marks the Third Doctor's first appearance.

First episode I saw, aged 5, was Hartnell regenerating into Troughton in 1966. Loved Troughton but loved Lis and Tom even more!
