Good news for those US Doctor Who fans who have Amazon Prime Video subscriptions.
From tomorrow fans can re-live series 9 starring Peter Capaldi as the twelfth Doctor in his second series.
About Series 9
Series 9 of Doctor Who was a complicated mix of brilliant and bittersweet, of foreboding, death, and an overall feeling of loss. Several episodes lacked a definitive resolution, and that seems to suit the pensive, methodical nature of Peter Capaldi’s Doctor. This is without a doubt his finest season. As for Clara (Jenna Coleman), this was her final season. This series also marked the beginning of the end of showrunner Steven Moffat’s time on the show, as he announced that he would be leaving after series 10.
Doctor Who is a BBC Cymru Wales produced drama for BBC One. It will return in December 2016 with a Christmas Special, followed by the new series in 2017.
Amazon Prime Video
It was announced on the 21st March that Amazon and BBC Worldwide North America had agreed to a multi-year content licensing agreement making Prime Video the exclusive US subscription streaming home. This gives access to episodes of Doctor Who online and on mobile devices, anywhere and everywhere.
