Now with added DALEKS! Plus, the placements for Time Fracture and Time Lord Victorious Figurine Collection #4 are revealed, along with audio drama Genetics of the Daleks!

After months of anticipation, Time Lord Victorious has now finally begun in earnest. Defender of the Daleks #1 from Titan Comics is on sale from all good comic book shops. The Doctor Who Official Annual 2021 has brought us The Guide to the Dark Times, while the A Dalek Awakens can be experienced at Escape Hunt venues across England. And this week also saw Doctor Who Magazine #556, containing Time Lord Victorious: Monsterous Beauty Part One, arrive in newsagents. But DWM also revealed more snippets of information about how exactly some elements fit together. So, naturally, it was time for an update of the Blogtor Who ‘tube map’ chart!

Genetics of the Daleks

With DALEKS! touted as the final piece of the Time Lord Victorious puzzle, it was a genuine surprise to learn of previously unmentioned Big Finish entry – Genetics of the Daleks! Practically nothing is known about Genetics of the Daleks yet in terms of cast, format or release date. But we can say that, like the Figurine Collection #2 and #3, and A Dalek Awakens, it features what’s left of the Dalek Time Squad dealing with the aftermath of the seismic conflict with the Doctors.

The DALEKS! are coming!

That magnificently named DALEKS! animated series was announced this week as being available free on the official Doctor Who YouTube channel from November. With its plot described as featuring the Dalek Emperor battling to save Skaro itself from some greater menace most could probably guess more or less where it came in. But it’s now confirmed that it will form a prequel of sorts to the Defender of the Daleks comic series, explaining how the Daleks came to be in such dire straits that they called upon the Tenth Doctor for help…

At last we know how immersive experience Time Fracture fits in to the Time Lord Victorious narrative

When Blogtor Who compiled the first version of this chart there was no clue as to where Time Fracture, the special London based experience from Immersive Everywhere, might fit in. In fact, it seemed possible it might only lightly cross over with the epic storyline. Perhaps with a cameo from one of the creatures or characters from Time Lord Victorious. But it’s now clear it’s deeply embedded in the arc. It follows on from the Tenth Doctor encounter with the Daleks in the Defender of the Daleks comics, with the mysterious time fracture itself – which you, as a visitor to the experience must step through and investigate – may be crucial in delivering the Doctor and the Daleks to the next steps in their TLV journey.

The Secret Origin of Brian the Ood Assassin

We already knew that there would be four issues in Eaglemoss’ Time Lord Victorious Figurine Set Collection. And that the fourth issue would include figurines of the Time Lord Victorious himself, in full Time Lord garb, and Brian the Ood Assassin. But while the Dalekcentric short stories contained in the first three magazines had been publicized, we didn’t know what, if any, fiction would be in the final issue. However we’ve since learned that it will be a story for Brian the Ood. And, what’s more, it will be a prequel to his first meeting with the Eighth Doctor in He Kills Me, He Kills Me Not and explain just how an Ood winds up working as a hitman anyway…

The saga of the Time Lord Victorious continues…

With a full feature on Time Lord Victorious, this is just a hint of the news and excitement in the new Doctor Who Magazine, which can found in your local newsagents or at the Panini website. And that’s on top of the return of the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler as the DWM comic strip pitches them into the Dark Times and the world of Time Lord Victorious!

The next stop on the Time Lord Victorious roller coaster is Dawn of the Kotturuh, a special short story, exclusive (and free) to subscribers to the official Doctor Who newsletter. Dropping into inboxes on Wednesday the 23rd of September, it promises to reveal more about the origins of the dreaded Kotturuh. Who are these veiled bringers of death? And what threat will they be to the Doctors as the multimedia epic continues…
