Torchwood One live again in Nightmares, a new box set from Big Finish this April

London, 2005. Yvonne Hartman (Tracy-Ann Oberman) is living the dream as the undisputed head of Torchwood One. Above the government, beyond the police, she has excellent people skills; enjoys regular tea with the Queen; and all while effortlessly defending the British Empire from alien threats. And in Torchwood One: Nightmares, out this April from Big Finish Productions, she’ll face threats like nothing she’s ever seen before.

With her top assistant, Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd), and head of alien acquisitions, Tommy Pierce (Timothy Bentinck), Yvonne knows the 21st century is when everything changes, and she’s ready.  Or is she?

Nightmares’ producer James Goss describes the concept. Torchwood One is back, with three stories all seeing Yvonne, Ianto and Torchwood One encounter various nightmares. Ianto is convinced that something has stolen a day of Torchwood’s time; Yvonne is trapped in a chat show that never ends; and one of the team wakes up in bed next to a dead VIP.

“Tracy-Ann Oberman, Gareth David-Lloyd and Timothy Bentinck are joined by Jon Culshaw giving a remarkable performance as haunted chat show host, Nigel Best, in Torchwood’s most disturbing, off-the-wall episode ever.”

Torchwood One: Nightmares

Torchwood wake up to three nightmares. Yvonne Hartman finds herself in an endless chat show; lying next to a dead member of the royal family; and Torchwood One has been invaded. Is it too late to save the world this time?

The three exciting adventures in this box set are:

My Guest Tonight by Tim Foley

Many people have poured out their souls on Nigel Best’s sofa. His guest tonight is Yvonne Hartman.

Lola by Rochana Patel

Ianto Jones thinks something’s wrong with Torchwood. So does Yvonne Hartman. The problem is they think it’s each other.

Less Majesty by James Goss

Yvonne Hartman wakes up in a reasonably nice hotel room next to a dead member of the royal family. Awkward.

Please note that Torchwood contains adult material and may not be suitable for younger listeners.
