Titan Comics returns to MCM Comic Con with two special Doctor Who events

MCM Comic Con returns to the ExCel in London next weekend, and, of course, Titan Comics will be there! They’ll even be hosting two panels at the event. On Friday evening, they’ll be assembling an army of Doctor Who cosplayers at Cosplay Central for the Doctor Who Cosplay Showcase Photo Meet. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet up with other Doctor Who cosplayers and get photos with each other.

Then on Saturday afternoon, the Titan Comics team will be leading The Art of Adaptation panel at the Artist Alley Stage. Including the editor of Titan’s Doctor Who range, it looks at the unique challenges of taking an existing property like Doctor Who, and adapting it for the very different medium of comics while staying true to the source material.

Doctor Who fans attending MCM will also get the chance to meet past Doctors Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, and Paul McGann. Plus, if that weren’t enough, there’s also David Bradley, who played the First Doctor in Twice Upon a Time. You can buy your tickets for the event here.

The Art of Adaptation Panel

Artist Alley Stage

Join Titan Comics editors Jake Devine (Doctor Who, Cowboy Bebop), Phoebe Hedges (Life is Strange, Sherlock), and Calum Collins (Kamen Rider: Zero-One) for a discussion on the process behind adapting existing franchises and media into sequential art- followed by a Q&A. Titan Comics is an industry powerhouse in making exciting, compelling comic book adaptations. Chaired by Titan EVP Andrew Sumner, editors will share their insight into what makes a good adaptation, and how comic books can create room for a unique type of storytelling. This panel is for anyone interested in the creative process behind adaptation, and for fans who want to see their favourite franchise adapted into a comic.
