This upcoming comic series will feature the Thirteenth Doctor, plus her new friends Yasmin Khan, Ryan Sinclair, and Graham O’Brien, in brand-new comic adventures. The series will be written by the Eisner-nominated Jody Houser, (Stranger Things, Mother Panic, Faith, Spider-Man), with illustration by Rachael Stott (Doctor Who, Motherlands) and colourist Enrica Angiolini (Warhammer 40,000).

Writer Jody Houser has said, “I love the hope of Doctor Who […] Anyone can have an adventure. No matter how old you are, there are still amazing things to discover in the universe. Exploring what makes our new Doctor tick, and what makes this regeneration unique as compared to the previous incarnations, is what I’m really looking forward to doing in the new series.”

Before this second issue hits the shelves, Titan Comics have announced Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor Vol. 0, which will see the Doctor relive memories from her past incarnations, and feature new and unseen adventures from each incarnation of the Doctor. More information on this issue can be found here.

The variant covers for Doctor Who: The Thirteenth Doctor #1 were also revealed recently. To celebrate the launch of this new series (as well as the incoming new Doctor), readers will have the choice of thirteen different covers, featuring artwork by artists such as Alice X. Zhang and Katie Cook, as well as a photo variant, a cosplay variant featuring cosplayer Athena Stamos, and a Doctor Puppet variant by Alisa Stern, creator of the eponymous beloved YouTube series. This first issue will be released on 17th October.

Doctor Who returns for Series 11 this autumn, starring Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor, alongside companions Mandip Gill (Yasmin Khan), Tosin Cole (Ryan Sinclair), and Bradley Walsh (Graham O’Brien).
