Doctor Who professionals and fans join forces to raise money for disabilities charity Scope

Throughout the period of isolation made necessary by the global pandemic, people around the world faced, and still face, astonishing challenges. And yet they’ve also displayed a positivity and willingness to rise to the challenge like never before. That’s been nowhere more true than among the Doctor Who fan community. Various online events not only helped keep everyone together and lift spirits, but also raised vital funds for charity. And with so many charities depending on funds from shop outlets closed by the restrictions, they found themselves at their most underfunded right when they were most needed. Among the charities so effected was Scope, which has spent almost seventy years seeking to overturn ingrained bias and prejudice against people with disabilities, as well as providing direct services.

With Scope’s network of charity shops temporarily closed, Doctor Who fan Matthew Rimmer stepped in to help with Time Scope, an anthology e-book now available. The unofficial and unauthorised collects fifty new short stories, interspersed with poetry and artwork, weaves its way through time and space visiting the Doctors and their friends. Along the way, cast and crew share their memories of working on the show and projects from the wider Whoniverse.

Compiled entirely in lockdown in 2020, all 114 contributors have given their work freely in order to support Scope at a time when the charity’s income has fallen dramatically. 100% of the money raised by the book will be forwarded to Scope.

Among the contributors are:
