Go back to where it all began this November with a one day convention in Coal Hill School!
November 1963, and a legend begins as the Doctor whisks two Coal Hill schoolteachers away from everything they’ve ever known and into a life of adventure. 1988 and the Seventh Doctor and Ace battle the Daleks in the corridors and classrooms of Coal Hill. Now, in November 2023, you can mark the 60th Anniversary of Doctor Who by walking those halls yourself! Cygnus Alpha Events continue their imaginative series of Doctor Who conventions with Time Controller. The venue: the Macbeth Centre, the filming location for Remembrance of the Daleks! Even better, it headlines Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred, back on the site of one of their best loved stories!
Also at Coal Hill on the day will be Andrew Morgan, the director of Remembrance of the Daleks. And that’s just the start, with many more names to come.
Tickets are on sale now for a unique way to celebrate the 60th Anniversary
The day will include talks and autograph sessions with the stars. Plus, there’ll be the unique opportunity to tour the areas used during the location filming. There’ll also be a display of props, costumes and Daleks. Altogether, it’s an eight hour day as immersed in the Doctor’s world as it’s possible to get without an invited aboard the TARDIS from the Time Lord themselves!
Tickets for Time Controller cost £90 and include entry to all the day’s events, and autographs from Sophie Aldred and all the other guests except Sylvester McCoy. More than that, there’s also tea and coffee and a buffet finger food lunch thrown in! Cygnus Alpha will announce prices for McCoy’s autograph closer to the date. Meanwhile, it’s unconfirmed if Time Controller will feature the in-costume photoshoots that have been one of the most popular elements of Cygnus Alpha’s Spearhead conventions. However, it does seem quite likely those will be announced later.
Time Controller takes place on the 4th of November, 2023, and tickets can be bought directly from the Cygnus Alpha website.
