Included in the player below is the “prequel” to the Doctor Who Series 7 finale, The Name of the Doctor. Written by Doctor Who‘s lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, this intriguing prequel stars Matt Smith as the Doctor and Jenna-Louise Coleman as Clara. It’s one of the show’s longest prequels and explores how little Clara knows about the Doctor… and vice versa.

The Name of the Doctor airs on May 18 in the UK (at 7pm) and
North America whilst it broadcasts a day later in Australia, Poland and
South Africa.

  1. Where on earth is this "love plot" suddenly coming from? Why has this just been shoehorned in the last episode? I miss the days of Donna, who was the only real "companion" the Doctor has had since 2005…no repressed lust, no "love plot" just a good friend. I miss that Temp.

  2. There are different meanings of love. Just because Clara said she fell in "love with the Doctor", Doesn't mean that she is "IN LOVE" with him. Although I hope they go that route because that would be just awesome (I get giddy just thinking about it)
