The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine (out now!) has details on the upcoming Doctor Who Series 7 finale, The Name of the Doctor. Please stop reading now if you don’t want to know.
Returning for the finale are Vastra, Strax, Jenny, a “posthumous” Dr Simeon and a “post-library” River Song, though not all make it out of the episode alive, and the true identity of Clara will be revealed. Here’s the DWM synopsis of the story:
“Every journey taken by a time-traveller tears a wound in the fabric of reality, and the Doctor has time-travelled more than anyone. But the trail runs cold in Trenzalore, the one place in all of time and space that he should never go. The most dangerous place in the universe…
“How’s the intelligence – still great?” – The Doctor
Who is kidnapping the Doctor’s friends, leading him to Trenzalore? Could the Fall of the Eleventh be nigh? Or does an impossible girl hold the key? The Doctor’s past, present, and future lives are in grave danger… and his greatest secret is about to be revealed.”
Added to this is a quote from the episode:
“The path I carved through time and space, from Gallifrey to Trenzalore. My own personal time tunnel, leading back to every moment I ever lived. Every step, every tear, every kiss. Even the days I haven’t lived yet. Which is why I shouldn’t be here. The paradoxes… very bad…”

Can someone explain a "post-library" River Song? ? ?

The first time the doctor met river was in a library even though in rivers time line they were married already.
When the doctor met river in the library, was when she was getting ready to die. And that was the 1st time he opened the tardis with the snap of his fingers.
How River escape? She downloaded by the Great Intelligence? WTF how this Great Intelligence know the secret of Trenzalore and that River knows Doctor's name. Probably explains why the Intelligence is so "Great".
My theory –
If River can escape the library computer, so can CAL. I think Clara is CAL. Clues: Clever Boy (You saved everyone, clever girl) Remember (And then I remembered). Somehow the TARDIS downloaded CAL from the library computer and made her into physical form. Probably the reason she can't die.
And maybe the reason the TARDIS doesn't like her?
To anyone who has seen the leaked episode, how was it? I've enjoyed most of Moffat's episodes and really hope this one does not disappoint? Spoiler alert: The Doctor kills dumbledore!
Clara is Romana(remember her from tom baker era)she was a timelord too, hence why clara won't die.
being Romana could explain her appearence since she was able to alter it, but it wouldn't explain how she was able to be born to different parents in different time periods. it's clear that she doesn't regenerate.
My theory is she is an amnesiac time lord with a past relationship with the doctor
How can there possible be a post-library River Song? The prefix 'post' means after and River died in the library. How can she come back? I'll be interested to see how Moffat pulls it off…
We never saw River Songs Body. Also the nural transmitter was in the screwdriver not attached to her. Maybe at the point she connected the wires she was kidnapped.

my theory is that clara could a be the doctor and river songs daughter. hense y they are mentaly connected. as the drs daughter still survived with the series with martha jones in and went of travlling to planets
Clara isn't dead……at the moment she's stuck in the drs own timeline……with the dr…….because she jumped in his timeline means she has and will be every place the doctor has and will ever of been……how do any of you not understand this
thank you someone who understand these ignoramuses cannot accept the truth there is no hidden thing. the reason she is appearing through time is because she jumped into the doctor's timeline. Why is this hard to understand ???????????? she now will live many lives and the real clara is stuck inside the doctors timeline with the doctor………
