1981: Dave Oswald (Michael Dixon) was saved from being hit by a car by Eleanor “Ellie” Ravenwood (Nicola Sian). The leaf that had smacked into his face became a symbol of their chance meeting, and soon, after marriage, Clara was born.
Ellie died on this day in 2005, though the cause is unknown.

Has anyone been able to confirm with Moffat or Dollard whether or not the fact Clara dies from a raven and her mother’s name was RAVENwood and Clara also wore a raven necklace in several episodes was intentionally connected? If not, it’s a fantastic coincidence.
