Davros (Julian Bleach), creator of the Daleks, resides in his sick chamber on Skaro, waiting for his greatest enemy to arrive.
The opening two-parter of Series 9 (now on DVD and Blu-Ray) pays homage to Terry Nation’s Genesis of the Daleks (1975), which was the introduction to the megalomaniacal scientist, then portrayed by Michael Wisher.
