At Stangmoor Prison, the Doctor (Jon Pertwee) and Jo Grant (Katy Manning) watch a demonstration of the Keller Machine which happens to contain a parasitic alien that extracts the negative emotions and fears of criminals. It’s part of the Master’s plot to start World War Three during a peace conference.
