  1. This isn't really new as Dr. Whooves has been around for a while and even has a couple of dolls out. This is the first time, as far as I know, that they've ponied a companion, though.

  2. It *is* new, in that this episode just aired last Saturday. 😉 The real story here is probably how heartbroken this will make the Derpy fans! He's with Rose! Not Derpy!

    😛

A couple of seasons ago, there was a garden party where three incarnations of Dr Whooves appeared. The original 10th Doctor lookalike, and also a 3rd (white poofy mane, red jacket with ruffled shirt) and a 5th (blond mane, straight hair).

  3. Yup, Doctor Whooves and Roseluck have been popping up alot together in Series 4, But this is the First time In the Show theres been an outright reference (Several Doctors and companions appear in the comics however)
