It’s Coming…Doctor Who spaceship sighted in Liverpool city ahead of the return of BBC series
Liverpool locals experienced a rare and unexpected sighting of a Doctor Who spaceship this evening, Wednesday 6th October. The image of the Sontaran spaceship was projected across George’s Pier Head, where lucky passersby had the opportunity to catch a sighting of the ship in the night sky. The projection of the spaceship will be visible to the residents of Liverpool until midnight tonight, October 6th. So if you’re in the area look to the skies for your glorious new conquerors. Sontar-Ha!
Of course, it’s no accident that the spacecraft has taken temporary residence in Liverpool city. The BBC have confirmed that Liverpool is the location where Doctor Who Series Thirteen will begin and where we first meet new character Dan Lewis (John Bishop) But soon he will become embroiled in the Doctor and Yaz’s adventures and be launched on a quest across time and space. One massive six-part story, Series 13 is already set to be the Doctor’s most epic adventure yet.
The official premiere date for Series Thirteen is still no specific than later this year. But with promotion ramping up, teasing glimpses snatched on BBC One, and magazines and comics due this month featuring Series Thirteen, and now this new projection in Liverpool, it’s clear it can’t be too much longer.
It’s coming. Be ready.
