The BBC have revealed a sneak peak at a brand new TARDIS that will debut in this year’s Christmas special, The Snowmen – click on the image above for a bigger version. The new set was designed by Michael Pickwoad, the show’s production designer, and will be home to The Doctor and Clara as they travel through space and time when the adventure continues in spring 2013 with eight episodes.   1. Is that meant to be at the top of the time rotor? I also see a curved metal beam coming in from the side to meet it at the top. Could they be taking a few cues from the McGann Tardis?

  2. New interior already? And they couldnt scrape together enough $ to build the original series control room for The Doctor's Wife?

  3. I didn't hate 11th TARDIS but i always thought it was a little too wacky/zany cobbled together out of old typewriter and this and that.

    9/10 had hints of the above but you believed it was a Time Lord's time travel machine that the Doctor had to fix with what he could but 11th's TARDIS was built like that in the 11th Hour so it never sat right with me.

    Hope the new TARDIS is fit for the last of the Time Lords.
