‘There is nothing new under the sun. It has all been done before.’ -A Study in Scarlet

Sherlock fans, rejoice! There is something new under the sun. Sherlocked, the official Sherlock convention, has announced dates for its 2016 convention. The conventions will be held in both the UK and the US – superfans, you may want to travel across the pond for both events. Each convention will be a three-day long affair.

Sherlock was created by longtime Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. Sherlock is played by Benedict Cumberbatch, and Watson is played by Martin Freeman, whose years as Tim on The Office provided endless joy.

Here are all the most important details. The UK dates are 23rd-25th September, and the US dates will be announced this month. The convention is brought to fans by Massive Events, in association with Hartswood Films and Showmasters Ltd. Massive Events is known for being the company that held the UK’s first ever Star Wars convention. Massive Events posted a telegraph from Baker Street with the details of the second Sherlocked:

The official announcement will be held on 20th January, and the US dates will be announced at that time as well.

One of the most exciting elements of a convention like this is the chance to meet other fans that share your interest in a hobby or a show. Even better, Sherlocked promises to have exactly what a fan would want: activities based on the show, an opportunity to meet actors and crew members, lectures, photoshoots, and an opportunity to get autographs.

Massive Events has created a Sherlocked Alerts, an email service that alerts you to any information about the upcoming event. This service is especially useful because it will provide information about when exactly tickets go on sale and any news about guest appearances.
