So, all single episodes then aside from the finale? Didn't he learn anything from the last series?
Yeah, he learnt that he knows what he is doing.
I've not seen much evidence of that.
Most of the stories have Moffat as co-writer, and Deep Breath is as long as two standard episodes. Odds are he's had more input into things like the characters of the Doctor and Clara (which were on of the weak points of 7B).
It'll be a refreshing change to have a character-based arc as opposed to a plot-based arc.
I'm most looking forward to Mummy On The Orient Express. It's a cool name, and looks to be a critical event in the relationship between Clara and Twelve. Can we expect a Seventh Doctor and Ace in Love And War-type confrontation?
If you don't know what Love And War is, check out the Big Finish audio adaption of the novel from 1992 (an early New Adventure. the TV story Human Nature was adapted from a story in the same range, by the same writer, Paul Cornell).
Hey at least the finale is a two parter. I have my fingers crossed for a return of The Candyman!
The episodes don't need to be two parters. He just needs to stop cramming two episodes worth if action into one.
