BBC DVD have announced details of The Sarah Jane Adventures The Fifth Season DVD in North America. This single disc has a street date of June 12 and is priced $19.98 in the US and $24.98 in Canada. Details below:
Created and produced by award-winning writer Russell T Davies, the final season of the exciting action-adventure children’s series, The Sarah Jane Adventures, follows the exploits of school friends Luke, Clyde and Rani, who team up with Sarah Jane Smith, investigative journalist and former companion to The Doctor, to examine strange and mysterious events.Season Five finds Sky, the Starchild who was given to Sarah Jane to look after, settling into Sarah Jane’s home on Bannerman Road as she discovers her own telekinetic powers. Fish rain from the skies, Clyde is cursed by an ancient god, and a mysterious new computer leads the gang to another run-in with aliens. The final season continues the fast and funny recipe of action, drama and special effects, even as it features the final performances of Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith.
Bonus features include: Goodbye Bannerman Road – Remembering Elisabeth Sladen, a tribute to Elisabeth Sladen with contributions from those who worked closely with her, including the Eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith.
