Following her appearance in ‘The Halloween ApocalypseRochenda Sandall seems to be in Doctor Who: Flux for the long haul. This continues with Chapter 2: War of the Sontarans this Sunday.

Rochenda Sandall appeared briefly as Anna in ‘The Halloween Apocalypse‘. Remember her? Living in the arctic circle. Smashed up a floating warning disc. Woken from her sleep with her partner Jón disintegrating before her very eyes before being revealed as Azure, sister to Swarm. It seems that Azure, along with Swarm, are likely to be the key protagonists of Doctor Who: Flux.

Sandall’s career has seen her cast in a number of roles in different television series. Perhaps the most recognisable role was in the fifth series of Line of Duty or the iconic ITV serial drama Coronation Street. Other credits include Deceit, Criminal: UK, plus all six episodes of Love, Lies and Records which also featured Mandip Gill. Sandall also appeared in the Amazon mini series Small Axe. Traditional UK credits of Doctors and Silent Witness also feature on Rochenda Sandall‘s resume. In a parrell to her current dalliance with science fiction Sandall was also credited as a Sith Fleet Officer in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Next year she will also appear in The Rig, a new series set on an oil rig in the North Sea.

Later this month Doctor Who fans will be able to see Rochenda Sandall at London Film and Comic Con. Fellow Flux villain Sam Spruell will also be attendance for those keen to see Azure and Swarm.

Doctor Who: Flux continues this Sunday with Chapter 2: War of the Sontarans on BBC One and BBC America.
