PREVIEW: Jodie Whittaker Meets Her Fate in ‘Trust Me’ Ep4

Trust Me - Ep4 (No. 4) - Picture Shows: Ally (JODIE WHITTAKER) - (C) Red Productions - Photographer: Mark Mainz

Jodie Whittaker is put through the wringer as her character Cath faces up to the consequences of her actions in the final episode of Trust Me.

The last four weeks have gone by in a flash. It only felt like yesterday that we were meeting Cath Hardacre (or is it Alison Sutton?), and already we’re at the end of the series. But that’s a testament to how captivating the show, and particularly Jodie Whittaker, have been throughout. The last three episodes set the stage for a truly dramatic finale – and in terms of sheer impact, this send-off is one heck of a wild ride.

Cath’s fraudulent life is on the brink of exposure. How long can she keep on hiding from the truth? She’s got Andy on her side, but the pressure is on from all different angles. Following the serious clinical incident the night before, Cath is shaken up and on edge. To keep her identity (and her patients!) safe, she has to find a way to keep her cool. But when her two lives start to collide, that proves to be easier said than done. The clock is ticking for Cath, and sacrifices will have to be made…

Trust Me – Ep4 (No. 4) – Picture Shows: Karl (BLAKE HARRISON), Molly (SUMMER MASON), Ally (JODIE WHITTAKER) – (C) Red Productions – Photographer: Mark Mainz

In typical (and rather ironic) fashion, you can trust that Trust Me ends in the most unexpected of ways. We can’t possibly say what happens, but that’s okay – you’re best off going into this one blind. Rest assured, four weeks’ worth of plot threads reach a shocking resolution by the end. What that is, who it involves, and how it affects their lives… well, you’ll just have to wait and see!

After four thrilling episodes, Jodie Whittaker’s psychological drama bows out on a high. If you’ve been following the series so far, this is definitely an hour of television you won’t want to miss. Trust me (ahem).

Episode 4 airs on BBC One at 21:00 on Tuesday 29th August, 2017.
