Demon Music Group have unveiled a stunning brand-new vinyl edition of BBC Radio Four‘s adaptation of Good Omens, available later this year.
Amazon Prime‘s recent (and highly successful) adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett‘s 1990 novel Good Omens is not the only time this well-loved work has been adapted into another form of media. Back in 2014, Good Omens was adapted and co-produced for broadcast on BBC Radio Four by Dirk Maggs. This radio adaptation starred Peter Serafinowicz as Crowley and Mark Heap as Aziraphale. Much like the television series, it proved to be an incredibly faithful and enjoyable rendering of the novel.
Having been released on CD and digital download back in 2015, Good Omens: The BBC Radio Four Adaptation is now set to be released on vinyl for the first time. This stunning box-set will be comprised of four 180g heavyweight vinyls, which will feature ‘heaven-and-hell’ style black and white colouring. Each disc will be presented in beautifully-illustrated wallets, inside a sixteen-page coffee table book, featuring original illustrations and exclusive sleeve notes from Neil Gaiman and Dirk Maggs. The box-set will also come with a set of tarot-style cards depicting each of the characters.
As well as this, Amazon are offering an exclusive signed edition of this vinyl box-set. This edition will include a print signed by Neil Gaiman himself, and will be limited to a run of just 500 copies.
Good Omens: The Radio Four Adaptation is due for release on 2nd August 2019, priced at £99. The signed and unsigned editions are available to pre-order now from Amazon.
