Capaldi also said the relationship between the Doctor and the successor (or successor) of Clara will be very different.  “Clara had prior knowledge of the doctor. It was conceived as a human connected to your timeline, and so had access to the cosmic nature of the Doctor. she understood a little about how he was. and as she was already with Matt (Smith), she knew the daleks and the TARDIS. Now we have someone who knows very little about the Doctor. “

The Doctor is to make an appearance at Mexico’s top comic con – La Mole Comic Con today. Where they will be attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the largest number of people in Doctor Who cosplay in one place. Peter will take part in the event along with a live streamed Q&A via Syfy Latin America. Among the crowds will be a number of lucky tickets holders who will have the chance to meet the Doctor.

  1. I’ve been expecting the casting announcement for both this and Class to come out at any time for over a month now. Each day, I wake up and check a couple news sites on my phone before I do anything else. Given time zones, most BBC casting announcements (that aren’t midnight releases) happen at around 4 or 5am my time. I’m hoping that they’ll state the time of the announcement before the actual announcement and that I actually see this information so I can be ready at the appropriate time and not post it to my blog five hours after everyone else.

I’m not discounting the possibility that the news won’t break somewhere other than the official blog or social media sites. I’m half expecting them to put the actress on some talk show and have her reveal the news there, just as long as its something that airs on the BBC. Either that, or the Radio Times. I just wish they’ll do it soon so I can stop waiting.
