Regenerations presents nineteen new tales of the Time Lord formerly known as the Doctor

Chinbeard Books, the independent publisher behind the original War Doctor anthology, Seasons of War, are back! And their new unofficial charity anthology once more plays at the edges of the established Doctor Who universe. Regenerations, a new collection of short stories about the Doctor’s most disillusioned and war weathered incarnation, is out today.

While Seasons of War explored the compromises forced on the Doctor by the Time War, Regenerations’ stories have a linking theme of the Doctor’s very past under threat. Because some new menace threatens to unspool the lives of his first eight incarnations. And so the War Doctor must take action to save both the universe and himself.  Meanwhile, all proceeds from sales of Regenerations go to Invest in ME. The charity dedicates itself to changing attitudes to, and also promoting medical research into, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis.

Regenerations can be bought directly from Chinbeard Books via their website. The physical hard copy version of the book is a limited edition print run.

Regenerations

“Something has gone very wrong with time!”

The Time Lord formerly known as the Doctor has been fighting the Time War for as long as he can recall. His previous lives — all those triumphs and tragedies — have been boxed up and filed away, too painful to revisit.

That is until something — or someone — begins tugging at the thread of the Doctor’s past. As familiar stories twist and shift, threatening the stability of the universe itself, the reluctant Warrior finds himself with only one option.

He has to save the Doctor.
