That regeneration energy scene at the end could be an almighty red herring and a fake out. It may also be real I’ve thought Bill will only last one season especially after the first trailer where it mentioned she would die. I fully expect the Doctor to save Bill from death but leave him in a weakened state on the verge of regeneration with the old “wearing a bit thin” before his swansong in the Christmas episode and I wouldn’t be surprised if he regenerated half way through that episode.
