The BBC have released brand-new pictures of the cast of upcoming comedy series Staged, starring David Tennant and Michael Sheen
First announced at the end of last month, Tennant and Sheen are set to lead this brand-new comedy series, which has been created during the current lockdown using a combination of self-shooting and video conferencing technology.
Staged will follow the cast of a West End play, described as ‘the cream of the crop of British acting talent’. The actors’ rehearsals are brought to a sudden halt when they are furloughed, with the series following the cast as they try their best to keep their rehearsals on track whilst they’re all stuck in lockdown.

Among the new pictures which have been released are several snapshots of David Tennant and Michael Sheen’s characters as they speak over video calls, and get fully involved with the remote rehearsals for their upcoming play! There are also a few pictures of the two leads in and around their respective homes and gardens, and one featuring the series’ co-creator Simon Evans.

Charlotte Moore, Director of BBC Content has said, “It’s vital that the BBC provides moments of light relief and this mischievous idea shows what great sports Michael and David are in sending themselves up.’
Staged will begin airing on BBC One on Wednesday 10th June 2020 at 10:45pm, and will be available as a box set on BBC iPlayer after transmission.
