New pictures from the first panel for the Thirteenth Doctor and (most) of her friends. Jodie Whittaker joined showrunner Chris Chibnall, executive producer Matt Strevens, Mandip Gill (Yasmin) and Tosin Cole (Ryan).
Moderation duties fell to IGN’s Terri Schwartz, who hosted the by now traditional Doctor Who panel for the first time this year.
During the panel, Jodie Whittaker revealed the new Sonic Screwdriver Fan Collectible, a replica of the one her character will use in the new series of Doctor Who.
We learned that there will definitely be a Christmas Special in 2018 (YAY!) and that there will be no two-part episodes in Series 11, which is set to air in the autumn.
We discovered more about new companions Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole – who immediatley told everyone he knew he’d been cast in Doctor Who!
Whittaker described her Doctor as having “a lot of energy. A lot of childish wonder. Quite fidgety!” While Chibnall says his vision of the Doctor is as “a pillar of hope in these times. And that’s Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor.
And we also discovered that Jodie loves a cute hood! Who among us doesn’t, I ask.
