Netflix has today released an extended trailer for their new original drama series ‘The Crown’

The 10-part series, released exclusively in all territories from the 4th November features Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Prince Philip and Claire Foy (Wolf Hall) as Queen Elizabeth II.

Created by Peter Morgan (The Queen), ‘The Crown’ will focus on Philip and Elizabeth as they meet, marry, and rather suddenly find themselves in Buckingham Palace. It tells the inside story of two of the most famous addresses in the world — Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street. The intrigues, love lives and machinations behind the great events that shaped the second half of the 20th century. Two houses, two courts, one Crown.

The cast also includes John Lithgow (Third Rock from the Sun) as Sir Winston Churchill, Greg Wise (Sense and Sensibility) as Lord Mountbatten and Jared Harris (Mad Men) as King George VI.

The Crown is produced by Left Bank Pictures in association with Sony Pictures Television. Peter Morgan, Stephen Daldry, Philip Martin, Andy Harries, Suzanne Mackie and Tanya Seghatchian serve as executive producers along with Robert Fox and Matthew Byam Shaw. Andrew Eaton serves as Producer.
