Michelle Gomez has confirmed again that she will be back for Doctor Who series 10 as Missy.

The first mention of a return came back in May this year at MegaCon. While the newest confirmation came in a recent interview with Music.com, where the Who star told editor Mitch Knox, “Weirdly, this is the sort of crunch week where I get to find out exactly what I’m going to be doing next.

“I can officially say that I will be starting back on Doctor Who soon, so that’s one thing.”

Michelle Gomez was last seen in Doctor Who at the beginning of series 9 in ‘The Magician’s Apprentice’ and ‘The Witch’s Familiar’. Which seems such a long time ago now!

But there is no keeping this fabulous actress down. While she is not appearing in Doctor Who she can be seen in another evil role as ‘The Lady in 2 episode’s of Fox’s ‘Gotham’ and in Amazon Prime’s ‘The Collection’ as Eliette Malet.

Doctor Who returns, sadly without Missy on Christmas Day with its annual special, ‘The Return of Doctor Mysterio’. The 60-minute episode starring Peter Capaldi and Matt Lucas along with special guests Justin Chatwin will air on BBC One.

The special is written by Steven Moffat, Executive Produced by Brian Minchin, Produced by Peter Bennett and Directed by Ed Bazalgette (Poldark), it was shot in Cardiff at BBC Wales Roath Lock Studios.

Doctor Who will be back in 2017 for series 10.
