Fans of the recent Mr. Men and Doctor Who mash-up series can add to their merchandise collections this Autumn with newly announced figurines. These figurines are the perfect accompaniment to the first four books in the range published earlier this year.
The first four books, Dr. First, Dr. Fourth, Dr. Eleventh and Dr. Twelfth, are available now from retailers and online. This exciting series features stories and illustrations from Adam Hargreaves, son of the Mr Men & Little Miss creator Roger Hargreaves. These four characters designed by Hargreaves will also be realised as collectible figurines.
Based on actors William Hartnell, Tom Baker, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi, their recognisable incarnations of The Doctor have been characterised in the iconic Hargreaves style. Now those creations will also be available in 3-dimensional form. This will hopefully be the first wave of collectible figurines with further Doctors to also recieve the Hargreaves styling treatment.
From August readers can also enjoy the next four books in the range, Dr. Second, Dr. Seventh, Dr. Eighth and Dr. Ninth. In addition Dr. Tenth will make his debut to the range in a Christmas Surprise! due for release in October. These titles are available to preorder now from Amazon and other retailers. Hopefully these incarnations will also be realised in figurine form to join the first wave. This will only leave Dr. Third, Dr. Fifth and Dr. Sixth still to join the range. Perhaps Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor will also be given the Mr. Men and Little Miss treatment one day too.
