Actor and comedian Matt Lucas best known to Doctor Who fans as Nardole, first seen in the 2015 Christmas special will  join cast and crew at New York Comic Con.

He will join Twelfth Doctor Peter Capaldi, new companion Pearl Mackie and current and outgoing showrunner Steven Moffat for a special panel at New York’s Madison Square Gardens. This was confirmed recently by BBC America.

Those lucky fans attending the panel will get a sneak peek at what’s ahead on Doctor Who including the upcoming Christmas Special. Moffat recently teased “a new voyage is about to begin” and “this is where the story really starts.”.

Its is known that Matt Lucas is returning to Doctor Who for this year’s upcoming Christmas special and he will appear in series 10 during 2017. Whether he will be the Doctors companion this Christmas is not yet known.

The New York Comic Con is the East Coast’s biggest and most exciting popular culture convention. This year it runs from the 6th to the 9th October at the Jarvis Centre.
