Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) has been discussing her role in Doctor Who Series 9 – listen to her interview with Dermot O’Leary in the player above. The actress stars in the period two-parter, The Girl Who Died (written by Jamie Mathieson and Steven Moffat) and The Woman Who Lived (by Catherine Tregenna), both directed by Ed Bazalgette (BBC One’s 18th Century drama Poldark).

Also starring in the eps are comedian and actor Rufus Hound, who recently appeared in the Russell T Davies series Cucumber, Tom Stourton (Horrible Histories), Ariyon Bakare, Simon Lipkin, Ian Conningham, Murray McArthur, Barnaby Kay, John Voce, and Struan Rodger (who voiced of the Face of Boe in 2006 and 2007).
