During an interview with Christopher Eccleston on Graham Norton's radio show, Chris said that This two part of Moffats' was his favourite.
This two parter was a fear factor (which is good) especially seeing the transformation of Richard Wilson's character from human face to gas mask zombie
I loved how The Doctor, Rose and Jack managed to escape the gas mask zombies with the simply words 'Go to your room' this shows how much of a brilliant writer Steven Moffat is.
Will this two parter be like the Siltheen where we get both commentarys in the same weekend??

Frankie, we are planning to release THE EMPTY CHILD/THE DOCTOR DANCES on the same day, Nov 26.
This two-parter made me into a confirmed fan! I love how the silliness and creepiness weave together. This also marked the debut (for me) of Stephen Moffat's now-familiar devices: (1) imperiled/creepy children, and (2) tapes that ran out half a minute ago–so what keeps making that sound?
Re: The Empty Child, why was Captain Jack not this fun and charming on Torchwood? I love the character on Doctor Who; on his own show, it's like he's been sedated. The end of the episode, with the roomfull of masked faces screaming for their mothers, is terrifying.
The Doctor Dances is a redemption story. I haven't watched any of the original series, so I'm not sure how long the Doctor has been wracked with guilt over the Time War, but I love how gleeful he is at the end when he realizes that this doesn't have to be another of those days.
The Empty Child/ The Doctor Dances are some of my favorite Doctor Who episodes ever. Not only do we see Victor Meldrew gaping while having a big gas mask coming out of his mouth, we also get Moffats first two parter, the first appearance of Jack, and some truly terrifying monsters. My only problem is the line "For once, everybody lives!", which just sounds too corny for Eccleston's own good. When I first saw it, I quoted a great scholar, ie "I Don't Believe It!"
