First up, the next entry in Hero Collector’s collection of TARDIS Console figurines brings to life many fans absolute favourite from the show’s history. Doctor Who: The TARDIS Consoles #4 – The Twelfth Doctor’s Console features the design first introduced in 2012’s The Snowmen, but includes the slight modifications made for the Twelfth Doctor’s 2014 debut in Deep Breath (most notably the orange lighting on the time rotor). The console will be priced at £19.99/€25.99.

May will also see the release of the next three Special issues. Dedicated to figures too large and complex for the regular partworks, these are often a highlight of the range. In May the range adds Issue #20, the Pyrovile, Issue #21, the Dalek Battle Pod, and #22, The Yeti. The Yeti is based on their original appearance in 1967’s The Abominable Snowmen. The Pyrovile is a stunning portrayal of the lava powered giants from The Fires of Pompeii in 2009. And finally the Dalek Battle Pod is the three-Dalek Time War attack ship as seen in the assault on Gallifrey in 2013’s The Day of the Doctor. The battle pod had previously been available as an online exclusive but is now coming to the wider retail market for the first time. All of the specials are priced at £19.99/€25.99.

And there’s even more for May! The Time Lords sets continue with Time Lord Figurine Sets #2: The Master and the Monk. The set replicates the Master as played by Eric Roberts in the 1996 TV Movie, while the Monk, of course, is the one and only Peter Butterworth from 1964’s The Time Meddler and 1965’s The Daleks’ Master Plan. Roberts’ Master is depicted fully dressed for the occasion in Time Lord robes, with the Monk is in his habitual (*cough*) disguise. The set of two figures is priced at £19.99/€25.99.

Meanwhile, among all these special releases the core Doctor Who Figurine Collection continues. Issue #175 feature the Super-Voc robot SV7, while Weeping Angel stars in #176. SV7 was the head robot aboard the sand-miner is classic story The Robots of Death from 1977. The art deco robots from the story are often considered one of the pinnacles of Doctor Who design and that look is meticulously recreated in the new figurine. Meanwhile, the Weeping Angel, one of the quantum locked killers introduced in 2007’s Blink, is seen in its iconic pose, with its hands covering its face. Each issue comes with a magazine that takes a closer look at the character and its appearances in Doctor Who. Each issue is priced at £8.99/€12.99.
