Clara herself, Jenna Coleman, will be visiting Gallifrey One for the first time in 2025

The world’s largest dedicated Doctor Who convention, the next Gallifrey One takes place in Los Angeles in February 2025. Already the organisers are assembling another stellar guest list for the event, with the latest being Jenna Coleman. This will be the first visit to Gallifrey One for the actor, who played the Doctor’s companion Clara. Appearing in episodes from 2012 to 2017, Coleman provided the bridge between the Eleventh and Twelfth Doctor eras and provided some of the series’ most powerful and dramatic storylines.

Coleman will be on stage on both Saturday and Sunday, as well as taking part in a table read with fans. There will also be an opportunity for a private meet and greet and she’ll be a guest at the evening receptions on Friday and Saturday night.

She joins the usual high quality mix of guests from across Doctor Who media. Doctors Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy are already only the guest list, alongside companions Catherine Tate (Donna), Louise Jameson (Leela), Katy Manning (Jo) and Frazer Hines (Jamie). Other actors appearing include Susan Twist, who played such a significant role in the 2024 season, Davros actor David Gooderson, and Seán Carlsen, whose Time Lord Narvin has become one of the mainstays of Big Finish’s Whoniverse.

Also from the world of Big Finish and novels, you can expect to see writers Lizzie Hopley, Jonathan Morris, Paul Margs, Gary Russell, Lisa McMullin, Tony Lee, and Alfie Shaw. Big Finish executive producer Jason Haigh-Ellery will be there in person too.

Gallifrey One remains one of the most iconic and beloved Doctor Who conventions in the world

Gallifrey One remains very much an event for fans, by fans, with one admission cost for nearly everything and no preferred seating or tier packages, where pros and fans alike mix throughout the day. There’s a classic-style art show, a supervised children’s program room, hallway fan tables available for free to clubs and conventions, and specialized costuming events, as well as a dealers room and special themed events such as the Thursday night launch party! Plus, unlike other celebrity shows, Gallifrey One goes well into the evening on Friday and Saturday nights with extensive evening programming, dances and karaoke (sometimes going until the very early hours of the morning!). Attendees also get to see the two annual stage shows, the Masquerade of Mandragora (a costume & fashion show) and The Idiot’s Lantern (a fully scripted comedy/variety show.)

You can buy your tickets now directly from the Gallifrey One website. The event itself takes place on the 14th-16th of February, 2025, at the Marriott Los Angeles Airport Hotel.
