This week only! Download Big Finish’s FIRST EVER audio drama, starring Lisa Bowerman, Nicholas Briggs and the late Nicholas Courtney completely FREE!

The audio adaptation that started it all off! From the days before Big Finish began to produce Doctor Who stories comes Bernice Summerfield: Oh No It Isn’t! It’s a tale of an intergalactic archaeologist and her cat, Wolsey, based on the Virgin New Adventures book by Paul Cornell (Father’s Day, Human Nature/The Family of Blood). Cornell’s fellow Doctor Who novelist Jacqueline Rayner adapted the novel into the audio play that created an enduing legacy of audio dramas set in the world of Doctor Who.

The play also saw Lisa Bowerman step into the role of the Doctor’s most beloved prose companion for the first time. In 1998, Benny’s literary boots seemed impossible for any flesh and blood actor to fill. But it’s a mark of the success of Oh No It Isn’t! that over twenty years and sixty releases later, Benny and Bowerman are indivisible in fans’ minds. Meanwhile, the late Nicholas Courtney, Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart himself, plays Benny’s feline companion Woolsey. The cast also includes future Doctor Who scriptwriter and actor Mark Gatiss as the panto-tastic Grand Vizier.
