A few months ago we reported that Forbidden Planet had opened up their archive to celebrate their 40th birthday. Now the archive has been updated to include events held during the 1990’s.

Forbidden Planet have hosted some fabulous guests during it’s 40 years and the 1990s were a truly amazing decade. From Star Trek to Babylon 5, from Doctor Who and popular television to the best authors in the business. Guests during that decade included Stan Lee, Adam West, Alice Cooper, Leonard Nimoy, George Takei, Nichelle Nichols, Christopher Lee, Ingrid Pitt and many more. There was even the original book launch signing for Good Omens with Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett! That tradition continued this week with Jason Momoa and James Wan in attendance to promote the upcoming Aquaman movie.

Doctor Who fans may remember signings with Jon Pertwee, Colin Baker and Elisabeth Sladen amongst others. The archive collection of photographs, flyers and posters charts the early days of what is now the world’s largest sci-fi, fantasy and cult entertainment retailer, with images from its origins in London’s Denmark Street in July 1978 right through to the end of the 1980s. Now that archive has been updated to cover the 1990’s. Maybe you attended one of these signings?
