  1. Mine is a question: What do you think of the whole Slitheen idea as a whole? Do you find it slightly ridiculous that they could manage to infiltrate government That quickly? Or do you think they bring a touch of humor to the episode?

  2. I love almost evrything about Aliens of London/WW3. Great performances and writing but I could have done a few less farts, they seem out of place considering how high the stakes were

  3. Another enjoyable commentary gents. Looking forward to the next one.

I can take or leave Aliens of London. I enjoy the scenes after it's realised that Rose has been gone a year, and I think this is the first time that the show has looked at the family and friends of a companion coped after they fly off in the Tardis. It's also pleasing that Mickey's character moves on, and earns the Doctor's respect.

On the downside, I'm not a fan of the Slitheen. In their human disguise, the zips on the foreheads, childish behaviour and constant farting is far too silly. Nor do I particularly like the design of the alien creature, which looks awkward and clumsy.

  4. waiting for Matt Smith to fart.
As a new viewer in Perth Australia, Aliens of London was around the time i started shouting and telling other people and buying merchandise. Caus like.. no one else knew about it dude

  5. Well, as mentioned above, there's all that farting. And the Slitheen unzip their foreheads about a hundred times more than is necessary.

However, I love buffalo buffalo buffalo (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buffalo_buffalo_Buffalo_buffalo_buffalo_buffalo_Buffalo_buffalo), the poor pig-hybrid alient decoy, and Harriet Jones before she got driven into the ground.

I wish Christopher Eccleston had had fewer silly fart episodes and more blood-and-thunder episodes like Dalek. And the inverse for David Tennant.

    Yay for more commentaries!

  6. I am a huge fan of the slitheen as they are monsters that are memorable to the younger fans and will be spoken of fondly in ten or twenty years as 'Doctor Who back in my day' characters.
all in all the episodes are funny and memorable, not a bad set at all.
