The BBC have released the synopsis for the first episode of the next series, The Eleventh Hour – read it below:
The Doctor has regenerated into a brand new man, but danger strikes before he can even recover. With the TARDIS wrecked, and the sonic screwdriver destroyed, the new Doctor has just 20 minutes to save the whole world – and only Amy Pond to help him.

I like the 20 minute time limit. Means the episode will be very fast-paced – always a good idea for introducing a new Doctor. The audience gets so caught up in the action that they aren't spending the entire episode comparing the new guy to his predecessor.
I agree with djkrouskop, he/she has got it spot on. More excited about this series of DW then any of the others of the modern era. The 'Moff' at the helm can only bring brilliant stories, and i think Matt Smith is going to be brilliant as the Doctor. Can't wait!!!
