The DVD Extras for the 2016 Doctor Who Christmas special – The Return of Doctor Mysterio on DVD and Blu-ray are now confirmed.

In addition to the 60 minute Doctor Who Christmas special, the DVD & Blu-ray will include two features.

Doctor Who: The Return of Doctor Mysterio

This Christmas Peter Capaldi return as The Doctor, alongside Matt Lucas as Nardole. Together with a stellar cast including Charity Wakefield, and Justin Chatwin, The Doctor joins forces with a masked Superhero for a fantastic New York adventure.

Doctor Who: The Return of Doctor Mysterio, will be on DVD and Blu-ray from 23rd January 2017 priced at £13.27 and £16.33 (RRP) and Amazon Video release on the January 28th, 2017.

‘The Return of Doctor Mysterio’ stars Peter Capaldi as the Twelfth Doctor, Matt Lucas returns as Nardole, Justin Chatwin is superhero Grant, Charity Wakefield plays newspaper reporter Lucy, Tomiwa Edun is Mr Brock, Aleksandar Jovanovic plays Dr Sim, and Logan Huffman joins the cast.

The special is written by Steven Moffat, Executive Produced by Brian Minchin, Produced by Peter Bennett and Directed by Ed Bazalgette (Poldark). It was shot in Cardiff at BBC Wales Roath Lock.Studios.
