In a relatively rare appearance on the convention circuit the Twelfth Doctor himself, Peter Capaldi, will be attending Capital Sci-Fi Con 2019.
Former Doctor Who Peter Capaldi’s addition to the guest slate sees him return to his native Scotland for the Edinburgh based convention. He will be meeting and greeting fans there on Saturday the 16th of February. (Please note that while the convention goes on all weekend, Capaldi will only be attending on Saturday).
Also, while there will be an autograph fee, Peter Capaldi is giving his time for free. All the money made from his appearance will, instead, by donated to the charity Children’s Hospices Across Scotland. Speaking about his attendance to Capital Sci-Fi Con, Capaldi said: “CHAS is an incredible charity, and I’m proud they have invited me to my first ever Scottish fan event.”

Meanwhile, Laura Campbell, Senior Fundraiser at CHAS, expressed the charity’s excitement to have the Doctor Who actor’s support. “Peter Capaldi’s a huge star, and it’s fantastic he has chosen to support CHAS and help us with our mission of reaching every family across Scotland who is facing the unimaginable, that their child is going to die.
“Peter’s incredible generosity of donating his whole autograph fee will mean we will be closer to reaching our target of smashing last year’s £74,000 total. Tickets to the convention are selling fast so make sure you get yours!”

Also at the convention will be Fifth Doctor Peter Davison. Davison will be attending both Saturday and Sunday. And he’ll even be at the con’s Saturday night Meal with the Stars. That event involves a sit-down dinner with various guests from the convention.
Rounding out the Doctor Who representation at Capital Sci-Fi Con are Warwick Davies (Porridge in Nightmare in Silver), Kiran Shah (Emojibot in Smile) and Aidan Cook (who played the Mummy on the Orient Express, the Crooked Man in Hide, as well as Cybermen and Zygons).
