Twitch have announced a third run of their successful Doctor Who marathons, this time focusing on the Daleks
The Daleks are invading streaming platform Twitch this month. Twitch’s previous two marathons of classic Doctor Who showed almost every existing story from 1963 to 1989. However, they were unable to include a number of Dalek stories. But at last those stories can be shown to a new generation of fans. The Five Doctors will also be included, as its brief Dalek cameo had also meant it couldn’t previously be shown.
The previous runs of Doctor Who on Twitch proved a surprise hit. Younger fans encountering characters like Ian and Barbara, Jo and Ace for the first time adored them, while older fans seized the opportunity to see the show anew through fresh eyes. Central to their success is the rolling chat that runs alongside the action, as fans interact as if sitting in one massive global living room. Leading to unexpected new memes like “London 1965!” “He knows!” and “I wouldn’t say no to a salami sandwich,” they enriched the language of Doctor Who fandom.

This latest run takes place from the 17th to the 22nd of February, from 6pm each evening. The complete schedule is:
- Sunday: The Daleks
- Monday: The Dalek Invasion of Earth, Day of the Daleks
- Tuesday: Frontier in Space, Planet of the Daleks
- Wednesday: Death to the Daleks, Genesis of the Daleks
- Thursday: Destiny of the Doctors, The Five Doctors
- Friday: Resurrection of the Daleks, Revelation of the Daleks, Remembrance of the Daleks
With some of the best stories of all time included, as well as the iconic 20th Anniversary special, this week of Doctor Who is sure to generate some quality new comments. The episodes will be streamed via the Twitch website. And don’t forget to follow the #DoctorWhoOnTwitch hashtag on Twitter and other social media for the full experience.
