A lethal Jenna Coleman plays her mind games to win in upcoming Amazon thriller Wilderness
Jenna Coleman is the latest British star to play the lead in polished psychological thriller adaptation. In Wilderness, Doctor Who’s former Impossible Girl plays Liv Taylor, one half of a British couple living in America who seemingly have it all. Except then Liv discovers that Will (Oliver Jackson-Cohen) has been unfaithful. To make amends, Will agrees to the holiday Liv has always daydreamed about. An old fashioned road trip across the USA, through Monument Valley, the Grand Canyon and Yosemite. Liv, however, intends to make the journey through the wilderness the stuff of Will’s nightmares.
So many high places to fall from. So many treacherous rivers to drown in. So many… opportunities.
Will has idea who his wife really is, or what she’s truly capable of. He definitely doesn’t know that everything that happens to them on the trip is a test. And if he fails, he dies.
But when the Taylors somehow just happen to bump into Will’s work colleague Cara (Ashley Benson) and her boyfriend (Eric Balfour) in the forest, Liv’s plans are thrown into doubt. Is anyone truly what they seem? As the mind games commence who, if anybody, will emerge alive from the wilderness?
Jenna Coleman will also soon be seen in the movie Jackdaw, currently in post-production. The Doctor Who star teams up again with Oliver Jackson-Cohen for the action thriller. Jackdaw tells the story of a mysterious smuggling job gone wrong, and one man’s long night of violence and revenge as he searches for his abducted brother.
