As announced at the end of Last Christmas, The Doctor and Clara will return in The Magician’s Apprentice. Actress Jenna Coleman returns for Doctor Who Series 9 as Peter Capaldi’s travel buddy. Current showrunner Steven Moffat stated at the recent screening that “obviously” she will be in “all” of the next series.
I'm Glad she will be back. Though it's easy to see that the episode would have been about three minutes shorter had she not signed a new contract.
