Filming continues on Doctor Who Series 9 with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, and new pictures reveal a trip back to “Medieval”* England. On Flickr you can see a great gallery of images taken yesterday at St Fagans National History Museum in Wales – view the pics HERE. The site has previously been used in Doctor Who for the Human Nature two-parter in 2007.
Currently filming are the episodes The Girl Who Died (written by Jamie Mathieson and Steven Moffat) and The Woman Who Lived (by Catherine Tregenna), both directed by Ed Bazalgette (BBC One’s 18th Century drama Poldark).
Described by the BBC as a “period adventure”, the story stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), comedian and actor Rufus Hound, who recently appeared in the Russell T Davies series Cucumber, Tom Stourton (Horrible Histories), Ariyon Bakare, Simon Lipkin, Ian Conningham, Murray McArthur, Barnaby Kay, John Voce, and Struan Rodger (who voiced of the Face of Boe in 2006 and 2007).
* I use the term loosely.
