In an interview with BBC America, both Steven Moffat and Jenna Coleman have been chatting about the changes for Clara’s character in Doctor Who Series 9. Regarding the loss of Danny Pink, Moffat said, “there was always a slight suspicion that it might never have worked out,” adding, “but no, she’s not pining,” for her former partner who died in the Series 8 finale, Dark Water.
