San Diego Comic Con has given fans their first official glimpses of this year’s series with the Doctor Who teaser trailer!
The past couple of years time has moved… strangely. It seems almost surreal to think that Series 12 was just last year, its finale arriving just ahead of Covid. And it’s almost as difficult to believe that Revolution of the Daleks, with its incompetent government inviting in disaster and offering government contracts at sweetheart rates to their friends, was earlier this year. While Doctor Who’s return with Series 13 somehow felt impossibly distant. But with today’s panel at San Diego Comic Con it’s feels very near indeed. Because in a continuation of a Doctor Who/SDCC tradition, we’ve gotten our first glimpse of the new series thanks to a special teaser trailer. And here it is!
The trailer is short and sweet. Just like all other Series teasers. We can see that Yaz (Mandip Gill) is now a seasoned crew member of the Tardis and Dan (John Bishop) is trying find his feet in this mysterious alien vessel. There are also some flash effects and a few views of the new character – Vinder – played by Game of Thrones’ Jacob Anderson.
All signs point to some exciting new adventures for the Doctor and her companions.
